What is reflective fabric？
It is a kind of reflective cloth, including a flame retardant cloth base layer, which is characterized in that the flame retardant cloth base layer is covered with an adhesive layer, an aluminum reflective layer, and a high refractive index glass bead layer in sequence from bottom to top, wherein each glass bead has a part of the sphere embedded in the aluminum reflective layer.
What are the main functions of flame-retardant reflective fabric?
Its main purpose is to make flame-retardant reflective clothing. The reflective part of this clothing uses the retro-reflective principle of glass beads to reflect direct light from a distance back to the light source. Even in low visibility conditions, as long as there is weak light, it can also play the same visibility as during the day. Its flame retardancy allows it to reduce its flammability as much as possible in the fire, slow down the spread, and not form a large area of combustion. After leaving the fire source, it can quickly extinguish itself and no longer burn or smolder. Therefore, this flame-retardant reflective fabric is widely used in fire suits or life-saving suits due to its unique properties. What are the requirements for flame-retardant reflective fabric itself?
Flame-retardant reflective fabric is a kind of reflective material. It is developed on the basis of traditional reflective fabric to meet certain specific occasions.
Flame retardant reflective fabrics can usually be divided into ：cotton flame retardant reflective fabrics and aramid flame retardant reflective fabrics.
Cotton flame retardant reflective fabrics use 100% cotton cloth with flame retardant finishing as the base fabric, which is more economical and affordable.
Aramid flame retardant reflective fabrics use aramid fabric as the base fabric, which is inherently flame retardant and suitable for firefighting clothing with extremely high flame retardant requirements.
- The so-called flame retardant means that after the test sample is ignited, the flame cannot burn and spread to the bottom and top of the sample or the vertical edge of the fabric;
- No burning fragments (molten droplets) can fall from the cloth;
- After the flame is removed and the burning stops, the smoldering should not extend from the carbonized area on the fabric to the undamaged area on the fabric; no holes are generated;
- Take 6 pieces for testing, and the burning time of any of the six test samples shall not exceed 2 seconds.
