Which may have different reasons, suck like low down the tax, change the production countries, low down the cost, etc.
You can choose PET or Acrylic surface reflective material, PET is rigid and it needs to be plotter cutting reflective sheeting, whereas Acrylic is more flexible, also apply by plotter cutting. Both films need to transform vinyl to transfer the words to the car body or car window. For durability, it depends on how long you want to last, if you only looking for less than 1 year, then PET is a good choice; but if you want to have it for 3 years, or more, then you have to go for acrylic reflective material.
The license plate is required to register by the transportation department, thus your car is valid to drive on the street. The license plate is made of reflective sheeting and aluminum plate, the numbers are embossed by embossing machine, hot stamping by foils, the essential part is about security, different country has a different method, such as China will have watermark into reflective sheeting, European will have holograph onto reflective film.
As we all know, it is necessary to have the registration number plate from the government for cars, taxis motorcycles, trucks, and buses all over the world, and each plate number is unique and trackable. Each country has their rule to form the numbers, for example in Spain, is composed of different numbers and three letters, it contains useful information about that car, such as owner information, the country from which it comes. In Spain, for instance, a registration number plate with the format H 1111 BBB, it means a vehicle classified as historical; if the number is in red, this is diplomatic corps, whereas numbers in blue means a car are using for commercial purposes, such as taxis or VTCs. Its just likes what we expect, Reflective clothing is not only about safety wearing now, but also a new darling of fashion. Reflective Clothing Display At Hermes Showroom (Australia) This is the first time we saw reflective clothing at Hermes. It made by outer shell reflective fabric. Beside of outer shell reflective fabric for clothing, the most widely used REFLECTIVE elements its heat transfer reflective vinyl.
Reflective fabric is a retroreflective material which is used in products like safety jacket, garments, outdoor sports wearing, and fashion clothes. This fabric reflects light back to the light source, making it an excellent material that can be used for safety and effective visibility especially during the night time to identify an object. To put it in simple words, the reflective fabric only is visible brightly when one views the fabric in an angle of the light source, however, when it is viewed from other directions then the fabric appears non-reflective just like any normal material. Reflective fabrics are made of a base cloth that is coated with adhesives and micro glass beads or prism. There are certain technologies like coating and hot pressing methods used in order for this fabric to be made into a retroreflective fabric. These reflective tapes are of two types: Micro glass bead - The latest manufacturing process is used in producing glass beads. It is produced from selected index 1.93 reflective glass beads which makes it reflective and chemical resistant. When lights enter these glass beads, it retracts and then reflects. The ability that these glass beads have to bend the path of light is measured by its index of reflection. So, the higher the quality of the refractive index of the glass bead, the better it reflects light. The micro-glass beads are also coated half with aluminum to create the retro-reflective effect in fabrics. Micro Prismatic - Micro prismatic product has sharp angles like prisms or cube corners which are 2-3 times brighter when compared to the micro glass bead. This is because a micro prism utilizes total internal reflection of light while bouncing back to the light source; hence, there is no wastage of light. Micro prismatic retroreflective materials have a smooth sealed outer surface which helps in protecting and enabling the retroreflective material to work even when it is wet and more efficiently in creating a brighter light. Another important feature of retroreflective sheeting material is its color. This is because the human eye responds to colors and it is detected that fluorescent colors are recognized from a distance than any other standard colors. Hence, retro-reflective fabrics have fluorescent colors that help in protecting and safeguarding when in danger. Retroreflective Tape The retroreflective tape is very important for enhancing high visibility in garments. There is a standard specification of photometric requirements, color, and placement of the tape on the garments. Retroreflective tapes are durable and contain high strength adhesive which is used for marking areas or objects. These tapes are ideal for outdoor use as it is pressure sensitive and can withstand any adverse weather conditions like extreme heat or cold conditions. They come in various colors ranging from white, yellow to orange, green and fluorescent colors. It is also user-friendly which means it is easy to apply as well as easy to keep the surface clean. The retroreflective film using glass microspheres (reflective index glass beads) produced with a different technology: direct coating of the microspheres into the surface layer, such as XW7200 engineer grade reflective sheeting; using an air capsule between the surface layer and microspheres as a reflecting element, eg XW1800 high-intensity grade reflective sheeting. Reflective materials (reflective sheeting and reflective fabric) are widely used in traffic safety and personal safety. To classify the different types of reflective sheeting, it is using the degree of reflection value, also durability, flexibility, impact resistance, etc. In the production of Engineer grade reflective sheeting, required for 7 years outdoor, always need to apply the front transparent PMMA resin layer, in which glass beaded is immersed uniformly. Then, the PMMA resin layer applied amalgam reflector, then pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and a protective substrate are made of cardboard with a double-sided polyethylene coating.
Engineer Grade Reflective Sheeting is required to meet ASTM D4956 Type I, EN12899 RA1, GB/T 18833-2012 Type I, it is an enclosed glass beaded film or prismatic optical, called Engineer Grade Prismatic. XW7200 Engineer Grade Reflective Sheeting is used on the non-critical street and road signs, such as temporary construction sign, parking sign, wayfinding signs. Standard roll size is 1.24M width, 45.7M length, colors are white, yellow, red, blue, green and brown. Besides, apply to traffic signage, XW 7200 engineer grade reflective sheeting also apply to reflective stickers and decals on the helmet, vehicle promotion, banners, etc. It can be screen printing, cut-able by die cutter or a vinyl plotter, to produce designed shape according to customer needs. Since the reflective sheeting is using outside, it needs good weather resistant, we apply the permanent sensitive adhesive, PMMA solvent based, it passed the artificial accelerated weathering, exposure for 1000 hours of Xenon Accelerated Weathering per ISO 4892-2:2006 / Amd.1:2009 cycle 1 at ARDL.
XW Reflective can differentiate embossing plate into two types for embossing license plates 1.One layer license plate. That is only reflective film plus aluminum, and you need to make the painting ( roller coating and hot stamping) after the embossing plates. XW8200 with more than 130% tensile strength, 25N/25MM banding strength, and 1.8-2mm embossing depth, well meet the most market of one layer plates. 2.Two layers of the license plate. For this kind of plates, you don't need to do painting, as there is the basing inking layer upon aluminum, after embossing, you only need to peel off the first layer, normally there is aluminum foil between reflective sheeting and aluminum for easy operation. As for two layers type, different from the XW8200 series, the reflective stickers need to be easily broken for the embossing parts to peel off, such as the fonts and borders, XW6200 works well for that application, for more economic one, you can also choose XW3200, which is with thinner thickness and less reflection. Generally speaking, one layer type is commonly used in most countries.
